Yasmina, Retainer of Symina

You know what?  I meant to post this last winter.  Oh well.  Better late than never.

Entry #18 in the Leading Ladies line, I present Yasmina.

Yasmina appears in book four, Of Sirens and Sapphires.  She is entrusted with the knowledge of the nation by the line of kings, ensuring that if the kingdom should ever return to its former glory that the history of the nation will never be forgotten.  After Princess Crystal - renamed Artemis - regains her title and is rightfully returned to the throne, Yasmina is crowned in her stead, as Artemis cannot be in two places at once and chooses to live ashore with her human prince. 

Here, she is depicted as a prisoner for failing to reveal the secrets of the nation to the occupying force.  She is far too valuable a hostage, and is brought close to starvation before Artemis is discovered and manages to return to power.  The dungeon is in the deepest reaches of the castle, where the castle's secrets are darkest.
