Goonies Mermaid Annie

This is Annie, the damsel-in-distress from the video game by Konami, The Goonies 2.

Let's analyze the image a bit. For the first part of the final ending, Annie is shown with her arms spread wide open and yet she has... to put it mildly... no features. Although the rules of the NES stated that any content had to be restricted- they could've at least given her SOMETHING for crying out loud. Look at any mermaid art on DA... well, we'll stop the rant there. Needless to say, the detail on her fin is excellent and they really could've done her character more justice than that.

Another note about the ending of the game - they treat it like a TV spot where they show Ma Fratelli being loaded into a paddy wagon and reporting that Annie was rescued. Maybe they should've done a story on a real life mermaid? Nah, that's not news....
