2014 Aquisitions

Though the glass lamp should probably fit into this picture too, based on the title...

Someone wanted to see the glass figures I got at this year's Renfest, which has been the best source for glass figurines.  Though I was torn between some of the larger ones - I'm going to have to think carefully about a commission from the artist someday - the two with the bases are the ones I picked out, because they were completely different from the other figurines I already have. 

I have dragons, unicorns, mermaids and other animals, but I don't have a fairy on a mushroom or a mermaid that looks like that. 

He is making phoenix figures now - which is really something - so I might have to get him to make one of those.  Or maybe a naga.  Or a centauress, though I have one of them too.  Come to think of it, I don't know what kind of glass figure I might want - Michelle could be one, but I have a hard enough time describing her to traditional artists.  For now, we'll stick to the small stuff. 

I still haven't gotten that other figure fixed yet.  Might have to call him on this fix.  Anyway.

Again, these aren't the best figures I've gotten from him, but hey, they're neat and I don't yet have a fairy in the collection.  Though I am starting to hear that little voice in the back of my head, screaming STOP SPENDING MONEY!  Ugh...
