No time for a full journal tonight; maybe tomorrow but here's the scoop: Craft fair in Eagan all day tomorrow and Sunday. Oh, and it hasn't snowed more than 14 inches all winter, and yet we had snow overnight, and it'll be a sloppy mix Sunday until half past Monday. The garage did not take no regarding an evening shift today, and I look forward to being concious next week. ...assuming I wake up to get over to the fair tomorrow...

I'm just going to go straight out and say it. Last weekend was a wash that absolutely sucked. There are people in the world who can go to work at 4 am, work effectively and at a concious level throughout the day, and then go home, shower, and enjoy a stimulating evening with friends and fun. I am NOT one of those people, though I'm not sure if I ever was anymore, either. The thing is, I vividly remember what I did last weekend, even if I wasn't concious for most of it. I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. The folks were in Las Vegas visiting my stepsister - she's got a place on the north end of town that I hear is really nice - and I had all weekend to be productive and get stuff done that I wanted to do. Not one thing that I wanted to do was accomplished. For the record, I did not want to throw a party and trash the house. Those days are long gone, and frankly, they were never realistic around here. Nor did I want to do anything that I really couldn't do when

Oscar night: Highs: Oppenheimer wins, including that dynamite original score. John Cena "naked" on set. Barbie's best song. Jimmy razzing Trump during the show. Salute with shots of 1942 Don Julio. Al Pachino, Danny and Arnold, and so much more. The little 12-year old in that lovely blue dress. 20 Days in Maripol director saying that he'd give up the Oscar for every life lost in Putin's damn war. Robert Downy Junior's speech saying he thanks his messed up childhood. In fact, all the speeches, which were shorter and more concise than expected. Kojiro. Davina Joy Randolph's statement about 'being myself' rather than being accepted. Lows: In Memoriam; stop showing the singers and the damn dancers. All you need is a video with names, an empty stage, and the orchestra in the background. Dignity, damn it. Worst 'In Memorium' segment ever. Protesting outside the show, during the red carpet and making A-listers late. Really? Trump - being Trump during the show. Guy can't

Do you take request to do some mermaids sometimes?

I'm not sure what you mean; I'm an author. I do literature requests on occasion, but I'm not an artist and can't draw very well.

Okay, sometimes I wonder but thank you.

This is probably my best drawing.

Happy new year my old friend. This year has had its shares of highs and lows but I feel we had a lot of good together when it comes to our friendship, even with the disagreements and other challenges this year brought, yet by the end I a, glad to have met you and call you friend.

Here’s to 2024.🥂

Cheers, buddy. Good friends who stay good friends despite a difference of opinion are hard to find.
